Perseverance is gained by our persistence in prayer and the word.
    2. Perseverance has to do with trust.
    3. Knowing you are accepted in the Beloved (in Christ) allows us to persevere.
    4. Perseverance has to do with fellowship.
When you put these four things into practice the results are: Perseverance with trust brings Victory! The book of Hebrews says that it is through faith and patience, with persistence, that we inherit the promises! Corinthians says that the promises of God are "yes" and in Christ are "Amen." The problem in receiving is that we don't persevere with our faith until it comes. We need to, "learn to interpret circumstances by the love of Christ and not the love of Christ by our circumstances." Are you willing to push into Father and persevere until we get the Victory? If you are, we will come into the Victory that God desires for us this year.

Saturday, February 25th the outreach team will be going to Summer's Landing. The time for this HAS CHANGED. It will now begin at 10:30am. Please be there by 10:15 for prayer

We are still in need of items for the yard sale during Family and Friends day on Saturday, March 3rd. For more information or donations, please see Jim Anderson or Lavater Bass.

Finally, we are in need of a little help. We have a few people that need to get to work but do not have cars at the moment. If you could volunteer to help drive people to work or other places (only certain days), please see me and I will get your name and number and what day you can help. We would appreciate it very, very much.

You are important to the work that is being done here at WOL. If you have a need, do not hesitate to give us a call. God sees what you do. Keep pushing into Him because He will not fail.

Pastor Doug

Week of 2/19

Good afternoon WOL Family,

Friday, February 17th and Saturday, February 18th we will be having the Holy Ghost School of Results. Friday night will begin at 7:00 and Saturday morning will begin at 10:00. Come expecting a mighty move of the Spirit of God this weekend.

Saturday, February 25th the outreach team will be going to Summer's Landing. The service will begin at 1:30. Please be there 15 minutes early for prayer.

Saturday, March 3rd we will be having a family and friends day here at the church. We will be having a yard sale with food sales also to benefit the building fund. If you have nice, used items you would like to donate for the yard sale, please talk with Elder Jim Anderson or Elder Lavater Bass.

There are a few people at the church that are having surgery. Please pray for them. Last night Pastor Phil spoke on the recreated man. That man is your spirit man that is the real you. That spirit man was recreated into the man God breathed into Adam at the beginning. Since you have been born again the devil no longer has a right to harass you and bring you down. However, he is always trying to do just that. With the promise of God at the beginning of the year, that this is a year of Victory, we have had quite a battle in the Spirit. Pastor came out of Psalm 23, 91, and 103 last night. We can use these, along with other scripture, to fight the enemy. In order to take up the sword of the Spirit we need to know, and use, the Word of God. Do you know your benefits as a child of God? Do you KNOW that the Lord is your Shepherd and you should not want for anything? I know you have heard that before but do you KNOW it? Get into the word. Learn that you are accepted by God in Christ and that there is nothing else to do to please Him. Nothing! Get into the word so you can get the Victory where you need too.

Blessing to you. Don't forget about Holy Ghost School of Results tomorrow night. Hope to see you there. Let us know if we can be of service to you. You are the reason we are here.

Pastor Doug

Week of 2/12

Good afternoon WOL Family,

You know something? I don't know about you but the first month+ of this year has been quite busy. It has seemed so busy that I have had a hard time taking the time that I need with the Lord. There was at least one day that I just had to stop and come over here to the church and take a few hours with the Lord. There was another morning when I was having a very hard time worshiping and I had to take a minute and meditate on Philippians 4:6-7. This brings me to what the Lord said at the beginning of the year. This is a year of Victory! Our part in this is to push into the Victory that He has for us and not get distracted. It is really, really easy to get distracted. Especially when we have a lot going on. Last nights sermon was on Trust. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths (Prov. 4:5-6). This is a very familiar couple of verses but we can always learn something new even with the familiar. Trust HIM no matter what! Don't necessarily go with what you know -- take time to listen to Holy Spirit. Take time to acknowledge Him in all you do. That is when He can direct you. See, if we are to go into Victory it will be through faith with His direction taking us there. Take the time this year, weekly, to stop. I mean really stop and seek after Him. It is all about Jesus anyway. When things get going and get a little crazy in your life, purposefully pull back and focus on Him (see Colossians 3:2 and 1 Peter 5:5-7). Other things really can wait.

Saturday, February 11th the outreach team will be meeting at Elberta Healthcare. The meeting will be at 3:00 and prayer will begin at 2:45.

Sunday, February 12th we will be having our annual business meeting. The meeting will take place following our morning worship service. This meeting is for all members. All members are asked to attend. If you need to eat at a certain time please make plans to bring something. Lord willing, it will only take 30 minutes to an hour. Thank you for your participation.

Monday, February 13th the youth will be going to Christian skate night at the skating rink. it will be from 6:00 to 8:30 and costs $4.00. Everyone is invited (not just the youth).

Finally, make plans to attend the Holy Ghost School or Results this month. It will be on Friday and Saturday, February 17th and 18th. These are always great times with God. Come out and get some refreshing.

We care about each and every one of you. You are an important part of the work that goes on here. If you have a need or need to pray don't hesitate to call. I hope to see you on Sunday.

Pastor Doug

P.S. You are important to God also. He loves you very, very much!

Week of 2/5 Continued

Hi Family,

I did forget to put one thing on the update a minute ago. The word from the Lord last night was, "there is hope." Many of us here at the church have been in a battle the last few weeks. Take note: God has promised Victory! We receive that victory through Faith. Faith works by Love. Last night Pastor Phil spoke on Love. He came out of John 21 where Jesus is talking to Peter. Jesus asks Peter a question, "Do you love me?" Peter, of course answers, "Yes, Lord, I love you." The point that we miss in English is the words for love that are being used. Jesus is asking Peter if he "Agape" him. Peter answers him with the word "phileo." Jesus was asking Peter if he loved him with the God kind of love that will stick with someone through thick and thin. Peter's answer in today's vernacular was, "Jesus, I like you as a friend." The point is this: Are we "in Love" with Jesus or are we just kind of "buddy, buddy" with Him. Have we made the covenant commitment to stand with Jesus no matter what? Have we made the covenant commitment to stand with Jesus through thick and thin, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health? Read through 1 Corinthians 13 to find out about Agape love. It is the kind of love God has for us. Even when we turn "lukewarm" or "cold" he keeps drawing us back to himself. He loves as a father and disciplines those that are His (Heb. 12:4-11). Keep standing with Him and keep declaring YOUR Victory!

Saturday, February 4th the outreach team will be going to Elberta Health Care on Elberta Rd. They will begin at 3:00. Please be there by 2:45 to pray together.

The big event that we don't want anyone to miss is this weekend. Saturday, February 4th at 6:00 and Sunday morning at 10:30 we will be having Doug Jones from RHEMA Bible Training Center with us. These meetings promise to be incredibly anointed with the manifestation of the Spirit and Power. Please make every attempt to be at both services. Also note that we will be taking an offering for Mr. Jones. Please pray and ask the Lord what He would have you do for this Man of God. Thank you for taking the time this weekend to come support these meetings.

Finally, we will be having our annual meeting for all members on Sunday the 12th. Please make plans to attend this meeting, as well. This is the one time during the year that you can see what the church is doing with the tithes and offerings that you faithfully give. It also gives you an idea about where we are headed and what plans we have for the future. Your participation is welcome and appreciated. Thank you in advance for your participation.

Jesus had Victory over all His enemies. He desires you to come to Him so He can do the same for you. Keep pushing into Him. And not matter what, Keep Praising HIM!

Pastor Doug

P.S. Don't forget about Doug Jones Saturday night. I hope to see you there and Sunday morning.

Week of 1/29

Good afternoon WOL Family,

This year is really moving. In less than a week it will be February! We have a few things coming up in the next two weeks.

First, Pastor Phil will be having a men's meeting on Sunday, January 29th. It will begin at 6:00 All men are highly encouraged to attend.

Saturday, February 4th and Sunday, February 5th we will be having special meeting with Doug Jones. Mr. Jones graduated from RHEMA Bible Training Center and has been in full-time ministry since 1975. Saturday evening will begin at 6:00pm and Sunday morning will be at our normal worship time. Come out expecting God to move in a miraculous way.

And finally, we will be having our Annual Business Meeting for all church members on Sunday, February 12th following the morning worship service. Lord willing, it will be relatively short but if you need to eat by a certain time please make plans for that. All members are encouraged to attend.

This is a year of Victory! Last night I talked about Faith and how that relates to our Victory. Faith is always now. Whenever you pray, believe and you will have what you say, Jesus said. Second, speech. What are you saying? Are you speaking the Word of God or are you speaking doubt and unbelief? We need to line up our belief, our speech, and our actions. Are we moving out as far as we can go and doing everything possible in the natural? Keep pushing into Jesus this year. Victory is possible but it is not necessarily easy. Are we going to push and let God do what He has promised or are we just going to let it get by us? That choice is ours. I am choosing Victory! Word of Life is choosing Victory! How about you?

If you need us this week we are here. Keep praying and keep believing. Have a blessed and fabulous weekend. Lord willing, I will see you on Sunday.

Pastor Doug

Week of 1/22

Good afternoon WOL Family,

This year is a year of Victory! Victory comes because of the Cross and the shed blood of Jesus. Another word that can be substituted for victory is salvation (it is usually the other way around in scripture -- victory is substituted for salvation). One way that we receive Victory is through Mercy. Pastor Phil had an incredible message on Mercy last night. Think of mercy this way -- NOT getting what you DO deserve. We deserve to be sick, have lack, and go to hell; but because of the mercy of God we don't have to have those things. We don't have to have the just punishment for our sin because Jesus already paid the price so that we could go free. That is Mercy. Pastor Phil taught last night that mercy comes because of covenant. The covenant written in the Blood has set us free so mercy is available. Joel 2:32 says that if we call on the name of the Lord we shall be delivered. That is what salvation (or Victory) is about, deliverance. We are saved because of covenant, we are delivered because of covenant, and we receive heaven because of covenant. Keep pushing into Jesus to receive YOUR Victory this year!

Saturday, January 28th the outreach team will be going to Summer's Landing on South Kimberly Rd. The service will begin at 1:30 so please be there 15 minutes early for prayer.

Sunday, January 29th Pastor Phil will be having a men's meeting here at the church. It will begin at 6:00pm and all men are highly encouraged to attend. Part of our Victory as men will begin at this meeting so you don't want to miss it.

Finally, don't forget Doug Jones the first weekend of February. If you want more flyers to pass out just let me know. This weekend promises to be anointed and powerful. Come expecting a mighty move of the Spirit of God. Please spend some time praying for Mr. Jones and the weekend.

May God grant you your heart's desires and make all your plans succeed (Ps. 20:4). I pray that you have an incredible week. Keep pressing, keep seeking, keep knocking! It is through faith and patience that we inherit the promises of God. Lord willing I will see you Sunday.

Pastor Doug

Week of 1/15

Good afternoon WOL Family,

I hope that everyone is participating in one form or another in the fast that we are doing this week. We have had some great evenings of prayer and Wednesday evening service was very good. The Lord is taking WOL to a higher dimension in Him and He is also taking each one individually into Victory! If you can't see yourself in Victory think about this a minute. God's greatest Victory looked like a total failure to man. When Jesus was arrested, beaten, and finally crucified the disciples were lost and afraid. However, the dying, bleeding, and eventually dead man hanging for all to see was Great Victory in the eyes of God. Jesus, who willfully died, had just brought the availability back to man for a one on one relationship with God, the Creator. Victory is not something that comes easily, necessarily. Victory is something that needs to be pushed into in order to get. Are you ready to push into Jesus this year to bring about Victory in areas that you may have been praying about for years? Are you ready to see God move in a mighty way? It will take all of us to push in and ask (and believe) for this to happen. It is time for us to "get on our knees and fight like a man!" Our Victory is found in Jesus!

Saturday, January 14th the outreach team will be going to Elberta Healthcare. The service starts at 3:00. Please be there 15 minutes early for prayer.

Saturday, January 28th the outreach team will be going to Summer's Landing. The service there will be at 1:30. Again, please be there 15 minutes early for prayer.

Sunday, January 29th Pastor Phil will be having a men's meeting here at the church. All men are highly encouraged to attend. The meeting will begin at 6:00.

Have a blessed rest of the week and weekend. Remember, we are fasting and praying through Sunday. Also remember that the church is open for prayer each evening from 6:00 to 8:00. You don't have to come for two hours. Just come when you can. This is a needed part to move us into what the Lord is doing this year. If we can be of service to you or you need something let us know. Lord willing, I will see you Sunday.

Pastor Doug

Week of 1/8

Good afternoon WOL Family,

Remember the theme for 2012 is Victory! God's desire for you is good. Press into Him this year and know that all you have been through will result in final Victory!

This Friday, January 6th begins our fasting and prayer. We are asking everyone to fast and pray for 10 days, from the 6th to the 15th. Pray for the Will of the Lord to be done here at the church and in our lives. Pray for financial blessing for the church to do the work that God has given us to do (including a financial miracle to finish phase 1 of the building project). Also pray for financial blessing on those in the church so we can get out of debt and help finance the Kingdom of God. During these 10 days the church will be open from 6:00 to 8:00 each evening. Come for the whole 2 hours or just come for a few minutes. Just come when you can.

This Sunday, January 8th we will be starting our fellowship time before Sunday morning service. Because of this Sunday school will start 15 minutes earlier. Sunday school will begin at 9:15 and end about 10:00 and fellowship time will begin at 10:00 and go until shortly before church. Hope to see you there.

Sunday, January 8th we will be having a new members class at 6:00. Everyone that has joined recently is asked to attend this class.

The outreach ministry will be going to Elberta Healthcare twice this month and once at Summer's Landing. Elberta Healthcare will be Saturday, January 7th and 14th. The service time is at 3:00. Please be there 15 minutes early for prayer. Summer's Landing will be on Saturday, January 28th and will be at 1:30. Again, please be there 15 minutes early for prayer.

Finally, Sunday, January 29th Pastor Phil will hold a men's meeting here at the church. It will begin at 6:00. All men are encouraged to attend this meeting.

May God bless you this week. Remember, God is putting us into Victory! Push into Him so He can do what He desires. I hope to see you on Sunday.

Pastor Doug

Week of 1/1

Dear WOL Family,

Happy New Year!

Last night Pastor Phil talked about fear. With the coming of the new year there is a lot of fear, especially since many people don't know what this new year brings. I don't think I have ever been in a time that there is just so much unknown about what is coming. But, as Christians, we don't have to fear the unknown or those things that we think we know that are out of our control. Most of us are familiar with 2 Timothy 1:7, "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind." Remember, no matter what comes about we have nothing to fear. Our God has us in the palm of His hand. He has already done everything required for us to have provision, health, and well-being. Our job is to learn how to appropriate it. So remember, no matter what comes in the new year we cannot let fear into our lives. We need to let faith in and push into what God has for us!

Saturday, December 31st -- We will have our annual watch night service. We will begin with some fellowship beginning at 9:00 followed by a time of worship and praise in the sanctuary at 10:30. Bring something to share for the time of fellowship and come expecting a great time in the Lord into the new year.

Sunday, January 1st -- There is no Sunday school. Church will be at the normal time of 10:30.

We have a number of things going on in January including 10 days of prayer and fasting. We are asking everyone at WOL to participate in whatever way they can. The dates are Friday the 6th to Sunday the 15th and the church will be open every night during that period from 6:00 to 8:00 for prayer.

Have a great rest of the week and I hope to see you on Sunday. Have a blessed afternoon and weekend.

Pastor Doug

Week of 12/25

Good afternoon WOL Family,

Merry Christmas! I believe we have all heard that saying, "Jesus is the reason for the season!" The older I get and the more I think about it the more that saying is true. Jesus truly is the reason for Christmas! The more the secularists try to take Christ out of Christmas the more we have to proclaim His name! What they don't realize is that without Jesus there would be no season of Thanksgiving or Christmas. There would be no need to give thanks and no need to give gifts. It is because of the Love of God that we have any reason to celebrate. For God so loved us, loved the World, that Jesus came, that we have a reason to celebrate.

Pastor Phil talked about trust last night. He made a great point about one reason that we can trust God. Before we knew that we needed a savior, before we knew that we needed help, Jesus came for us. Paul put it like this, "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" and this He did to "demonstrate His love for us (Rom. 5:8)." So we have the greatest reason in the world to celebrate this season. Jesus! He truly is the reason for the season and for our salvation and for life itself. Celebrate Jesus!

There is one announcement this week. We will not be having Sunday school on Christmas day or New Years day. We will be having morning worship service starting at 10:30. Come celebrate Christmas with your church family Sunday morning!

Have a very blessed Christmas week. Don't let the hustle and bustle of the day keep you from getting some rest. I hope to see you on Sunday. If you are going to be out of town for Christmas have a safe and enjoyable time. We will see you after the new year. Have a great Christmas!

Pastor Doug

Week of 12/18

Dear WOL Family,

The Lord is truly in this place! We had a mighty presence of the Lord at last nights service. I had a chance to speak and we took some time to talk about deception. We are in a lot of darkness and we are moving into an even greater time of darkness. The good news is that as the darkness grows darker the Light gets brighter and stronger. See, even in the church people are being deceived. The scary part is that much of this deception has gone into the seminaries and is being propagated among the pastors coming up. We have church people coming together with people of other faiths and values and linking arms and calling it unity. We have teaching saying that sin is not real. That Adam and Eve were not real people and that man is not a special creation of God. Let me make a point here, We need to love people and not look down on where they are at; however, we need to call falsehood wrong and righteousness, right. We need to know what the Bible says, be lead by the Spirit, and not fall into sin or deception. God is calling His people to righteousness, holiness, and purity. Only when we are seeking Him can He move through us and save a world that is becoming more and more hostile towards Him. We all know John 3:16. Jesus loves the World, not just the Christian. He doesn't desire that any should perish. His desire, and will, is that all come to repentance. Let us grow up and do what God has called us to and win many, many people to Jesus.

Saturday, December 17th the outreach team will be ministering at Summers Landing on South Kimberly Dr. The service will begin at 1:30 and prayer will be at 1:15. If you are attending the outreach this Saturday do your best to get there for prayer.

Also, don't forget that we will not be having Sunday school on the 25th or the 1st. However, we will still be having morning worship service. Come expecting a great move of God and thank Him for the ultimate gift of Jesus.

One last heads up: we are planning a time of fasting and prayer in January. It is set for the 6th -- 15th. There will be more information coming and we ask you to prepare for whatever kind of fast you can do.

Thank you for all you do. We are starting to progress on the new building and have a long way to go. Thank you for all your help with the building fund this last year and keep praying for God to provide the rest. Have a great rest of the week and I hope to see you on Sunday.

Pastor Doug

Week of 12/11

Good afternoon WOL Family,

Last night Pastor Phil talked about intercession. According to Dictionary.com intercession is, "a prayer to God on behalf of another." This can be a prayer about anyone else but not yourself. I know how easy it is to go into prayer and pray for yourself and your situations but leave everyone else out of it. Intercession is specifically for someone else. The problem, it seems, is that in order to really intercede takes time and that is something that most people really don't have much of. This really needs to be a priority in our lives though. There was a book I came across in college which has recently come back to my mind. It is called Operation World. It is basically a listing of every country in the world with their specific people groups, religions, languages, economics, etc. Thanks to technology and the internet we now have operationworld.org. The country to pray for today (Thursday) happens to be the United States. According to a link off Operation World, Joshua Project, there are 63 (by my count) unreached people groups (where less than 2% of people are Christian) in the United States! That is amazing! Chris and I saw a presentation a little over a year ago about how the unreached of the world were coming to our doorsteps. I think that this confirms that report at least to a degree. This is a website I would encourage you to check out everyday (I have made it a second homepage for my computer) and intercede for a nation everyday. It is through our intercession that God will move and fulfill the Great Commission. There is nothing more important than the salvation of the World!

We have two things going on this next week here at the church. First is the Christmas party. The Christmas party will be Sunday afternoon at 5:00 here at the church. If you have not signed up for it and plan to attend please let me or Chris know ASAP (we need to know how many are coming for food). We are asking families or individuals to have a skit, dance, song, memory, or something else to share. This promises to be fun and we appreciate everyone that is willing to participate.

Second, we will be having Deborah's Co. on Tuesday the 13th at 6:00. Since Karen is out west ministering to the Indians (they had 10 or 20 saved on Sunday by the way) it will be led by Luzera Dennison. All ladies are invited to come.

This is a great time of year where we remember the birth of Jesus. His birth, however, always points us to the cross. It is for the cross that He was even born. As we have been talking about in Sunday school, it was God's original desire to fellowship with His creation and it is only through the cross that He can come back to that original intent.

Have a blessed and prosperous rest of your week. If we can be of service to you just give us a call or email. God Bless and remember to Bless God!

Pastor Doug

Week of 11/27

Good morning WOL Family,

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, GIVE THANKS in all circumstances; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thess. 5:16-18). Enter His gates with THANKSGIVING and come into His courts with praise. Be THANKFUL to Him and Bless His name (Ps. 100:4). Oh, Give THANKS to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever (1 Chron. 16:34, Ps. 106:1). Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down
from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of
turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures (James 1:17-18). God is good all the time so give Him THANKS!

The only thing to
report this week is a reminder of the Christmas party on December 11th
at 5:00. If you have not already done so, please sign up on the sign-up
sheet on the back table so we know how much food to order. Also, get
together with your family and get a skit, song, Christmas memory, etc.
together for that evening. Pastor Chris will be there on Sunday to
start signing people up. Thank you so much for all that you do at WOL.

Take some extra time with family, friends, and the Lord this extended weekend. Be Blessed and Give God Thanks for His goodness.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Pastor Doug

Week of 11/20

Good afternoon WOL Family,

I pray that everyone has had a great week. I know that we are all still kind of shook up over the passing of our friend and hard worker for the Lord Helen. Just know that she is presently doing what she enjoyed doing before, Worshipping her God and spending time with her Granddaughter. Just think what we have to look forward too.

This next week we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. Please remember we will not be having any Wednesday evening service on the 23rd. Spend some extra time with your family that evening and enjoy yourself. We have all been incredibly blessed this year so take some time rejoicing with your family.

Also note that the office will be closed next week.

If you have any last minute donations for Love in Action please bring those to the church Sunday. This will be the last day we are collecting clothes for them. Thank you for all your support of this outreach. Also, pray for them as they head out west. Pray for safe travel and souls saved while they are out there.

Have a great rest of Friday. Take some time for yourself this next week. The holidays can get a little stressful sometimes and we all could use a little down time. Trust int he Lord and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your steps.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Pastor Doug

Week of 11/13

Good afternoon WOL Family,

The Lord is moving in our midst. He has asked us to really be aware of His voice and to obey Him when He speaks. We are coming up very quickly on 1012 which promises to be an exciting year. Are you ready? Are you ready to listen and obey the voice of the Lord? When we do He will do whatever He has said. Get ready!

Saturday, November 12th we will be participating in outreach to Elberta Nursing Home. The service will begin at 3:00pm. If you want to go please be there at least 15 minutes early for a time of prayer.

Sunday, November 13th will be another class on the Prophet and the prophetic. This class will begin at 6:00pm.

Those of you that have last minute items for Love in Action need to get them to the church this next week. They will be packing up the trailer and heading out very soon. Thank you for all the clothes that have come in for their outreach to the Indian reservations. Please be praying for this trip and for the will of God to be done and many people to come to salvation.

I know everyone's schedule is gearing up for Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Take the time to spend with Jesus. Give Him thanks for all the great things he has given us and done for us. He is the reason we celebrate. Have a great week. Lord willing, I will see you on Sunday.

Pastor Doug

Week of 11/6

Good afternoon WOL Family,

As everyone is aware the holiday season is upon us. This means many, many things including people shopping, baking, cooking, cleaning, get togethers, etc., etc. Since we are going to be so busy the next two months we have decided to slow things down here at church. This does not mean that we will not be having church (except for the 23rd) but we will not be having any special services during this time.

Please take some time to re coupe and to refresh yourselves. I think many of us are a little weary and just need to get in the presence of the Lord and find some rest that we may be missing. Take a look at Revelation 14:12,13, "Here is the patience of the saints, they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. And I heard the voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them." We are called to walk in patience with endurance and sometimes we can wear ourselves out if we just keep going and going and going. But if we take the time to rest then we can push on to what the Lord has for us to do. One day we will find rest from our labors but until then we need to, "press toward the mark of the high call of God in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:13)."

We still have a few things going on this month. First off, don't forget to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night. It is the end of daylight savings time so get an extra hour of rest and come to church refreshed ready to praise and worship the King of Kings!

Sunday, November 6th and Sunday, November 13th will be a continuation of the class on the Prophet and the prophetic. This class will begin at 6:00pm each Sunday evening.

Tuesday, November 8th, Deborah's Co. will be having their monthly time of prayer and Bible study. It will begin at 6:00pm. All ladies are invited and encouraged to bring a friend or two for this awesome time.

We will be having two outreaches to the nursing homes this month. The first one will be on Saturday, November 12th at 3:00pm. It will take place at Elberta nursing home on Elberta Rd. Please get there 15 minutes early for a time of prayer. The second one will be at Summer's Landing Retirement home on South Kimberly Rd. on Saturday, November 19th at 2:30pm. Again, please be there 15 minutes early for a time of prayer. If you desire more information please see Fred Washington.

Wednesday, November 23rd we will not be having church service. This is a time to spend extra time with family the night before Thanksgiving. So enjoy your time and spend it with family and friends.

Have a great week and weekend. We are here for you if you need us. Thank you for all that you do here at WOL. It would not be the same without you. Make a difference to those around you. You have the answer to whatever they need. See you Sunday morning, Lord willing and don't forget to "fall back."

Pastor Doug

I don't think we really understand the Kingdom of God like we should. There are many, many scriptures and parables about the Kingdom of God that Jesus, Paul, and others talked about. Here are a few examples: Romans 14:17, "For the Kingdom of God is not in eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (ASV). 1 Cor. 4:20, "For the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power." Mark 10:15, "Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter in." First, the Kingdom is not about the physical but the that which is unseen. Second, it's about doing and not saying. James said to be a doer of the word. And finally, it is by faith. Faith in what Abba says and believing and trusting Him that it will come to pass. This, WOL, is a lot easier said than done. Father wants us to grow into this expectant believing that what He has said will come to pass in our lives. Are you ready?

We are having healing services this weekend. Friday night will begin at 7:00pm and Saturday will begin at 10:00am. Here is a chance to come expectantly believing for signs, wonders, and miracles. You do not want to miss these meetings.

I hope you have had a great month and week. I hope to see you Friday and Saturday and Sunday. Have a blessed weekend and God bless. We are here if you need us.

Pastor Doug

Week of 10/16

Good afternoon WOL Family,

Pastor Phil and the Russia team made it home safely after quite a long trip. They are resting and doing well.

We will not be having HGSR this month. Instead we will be having another powerful set of healing services. They will take place on Friday, October 28th and Saturday, October 29th. Friday night will begin at 7:00pm and Saturday morning will begin at 10:00am. Come expecting a mighty move of the Holy Spirit in healing and invite anyone that you know in need of healing.

Have a blessed rest of your week. If you need us we are here for you. "You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." Last night Elder Lavater Bass talked about unity in the body. Once we get in our place we need to be unified in the work that the Lord has for the whole body. Not being jealous of someone else because of their position but unified in the work knowing we are bearing fruit in that position. And the final outcome in all of this - getting where you belong in and out of the church - is that ministry takes place, the power and presence of God is free to move, and the church grows! Have you found where you belong in this body? If not either seek the Lord on where you belong or ask someone. They might see something in you that you don't see in yourself. If you have other questions on this subject you can start with 1 Corinthians 12 or talk with Pastor or myself. We would be glad to help fit you in something until we find the proper fit.

Saturday, October 8th will be an evangelism outreach at Elberta Nursing Home. The service will begin at 3:00 so please be there by 2:45 for a time of prayer before ministry.

Sunday, October 9th will be a class on the Prophet and the prophetic. Many people really don't understand the prophetic and they don't understand or know about the office of the Prophet. This class will address these issues and more. It will begin at 6:00 at the church and if you haven't signed up and would still be interested in attending, it is not too late. Just let Elder Jim Anderson know that you plan on being there.

Tuesday, October 11th Deborah's Co. will meet for their monthly time of prayer and Bible Study. All women are invited to attend this incredible time. It will begin at 6:00.

I pray that you have an amazing rest of your week. Seek the Lord while He may be found, call on Him while He may be found (Is. 55:6). Hope to see you Sunday. Continue to pray for Pastor Phil and the team in Russia. They have had some powerful meetings and are headed to Armenia.

Pastor Doug
