Week of 2/26

Good afternoon WOL Family,

I pray that you are having a great week.  Please continue to pray for those that have had surgery or been sick.  We are in a battle that WE WILL overcome!

I had the opportunity to teach last night and taught on Perseverance.  When you are in the middle of something you have to persevere, otherwise you won't make it out.  There are four points and a final thought that I brought out last night on this subject.
    1. Perseverance is gained by our persistence in prayer and the word.
    2. Perseverance has to do with trust.
    3. Knowing you are accepted in the Beloved (in Christ) allows us to persevere.
    4. Perseverance has to do with fellowship.
When you put these four things into practice the results are: Perseverance with trust brings Victory!  The book of Hebrews says that it is through faith and patience, with persistence, that we inherit the promises!  Corinthians says that the promises of God are "yes" and in Christ are "Amen."  The problem in receiving is that we don't persevere with our faith until it comes.  We need to, "learn to interpret circumstances by the love of Christ and not the love of Christ by our circumstances."  Are you willing to push into Father and persevere until we get the Victory?  If you are, we will come into the Victory that God desires for us this year.

Saturday, February 25th the outreach team will be going to Summer's Landing.  The time for this HAS CHANGED.  It will now begin at 10:30am.  Please be there by 10:15 for prayer

We are still in need of items for the yard sale during Family and Friends day on Saturday, March 3rd.  For more information or donations, please see Jim Anderson or Lavater Bass.

Finally, we are in need of a little help.  We have a few people that need to get to work but do not have cars at the moment.  If you could volunteer to help drive people to work or other places (only certain days), please see me and I will get your name and number and what day you can help.  We would appreciate it very, very much.

You are important to the work that is being done here at WOL.  If you have a need, do not hesitate to give us a call.  God sees what you do.  Keep pushing into Him because He will not fail.

Pastor Doug
