Week of 5/1

Good morning WOL Family,

Wow!  It is almost May.  Time really flies when you are having fun!  If you missed last night's service Pastor spoke on "Faith and Corruption."  I know that these two subjects seem incompatible but it is about mixing the things of the flesh with the things of the Spirit.  Galatians 3:7-9 says, "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.  And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."  This is talked about all through scripture in different ways.  A good tree can't bear bad fruit and a bad tree can't bear good fruit.  A spring can't produce both fresh water and salt water.  In the same way we should not speak the word of faith one minute and words of doubt and unbelief in the next!  This is truly an area the body of Christ needs to work on!

Tuesday, May 10th will be Deborah's Co.  They will be having their prayer time and Bible study starting at 6:00pm.  All ladies are invited to attend this meeting and it will be here at the church.

Sunday, May 15th we will be having a fellowship dinner here at the church following the morning worship service.  Everyone is asked to bring an item or two to share with everyone.  I will have a sign-up sheet on the back table Sunday for people to see what items to bring.

Friday, May 20th and Saturday, May 21st  will be another Holy Ghost School of Results.  Friday evening is at 7:00pm and Saturday morning is at 10:00am.  Everyone is invited to come out.  Come expecting a powerful move of the Holy Spirit.

I pray that you have a great rest of your week.  I hope to see you on Sunday morning!

Pastor Doug
